happy halloween!

Kit-BAHappy Halloween!  Easy card today.  Stamped, colored with Prismacolors, and fussy-cut the image, and adhered to a deckled rectangle.  I popped that up with some foam adhesive, and added to a cardbase, with a hand-cut banner of patterned paper.  The sentiment was die-cut, and then I added some dash lines.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy Trick-or-Treating!

Supplies used:  The Paper Co. Kraft cardstock, Basic Grey Ambrosia patterned paper, Simon Says Stamp Hey Pumpkin clear stamp set, Simon Says Stamp Happy die, Memory Box Typewriter Lower Alphabet dies.

fall feathers

Kit-AZUsually, I stick with “warm” colors for fall – red, yellow, orange, brown – so this card is bit different for me.  These patterned papers had some blues in them, so I played that up a bit.

Today’s card was a pretty quick and easy one.  Life has thrown me a few challenges lately, leaving me short of blog time.  However, I’m still making cards.  Just an FYI… I believe it’s impossible to make a happy card without some of that happy rubbing off on you.  So if you’re having a bad day, may I suggest a little card-making therapy?  🙂

I started with three strips of patterned paper, hand-cut little banner bottoms, inked the edges, and glued them to a Kraft card-base.  The tag was hand-cut, using another store-bought tag as a template.  Some die-cut feathers (also inked), a stamped sentiment, a bit of twine and a button – then I popped it up with a bit of foam adhesive.  I added three buttons to the bottom right corner for a bit more of that blue.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
