I love to make cards, and I love to give cards. But you know what the best kind of card is? It’s one that someone else makes especially for you “just because”. This beautiful owl and dog card now has a permanent new home on the cork-board over my desk. It was made by a young girl named Grace. It’s the best card ever!
I am so lucky to be blessed with a small handful of very special long-distance friends that I met online. Grace is the six-year-old daughter of one of these women, and she is already following in her mother’s crafty footsteps. She is one of my biggest fans, and I get such a thrill out of sending her cards. This time, though, she sent me a card. Oh my gosh – what a wonderful surprise! I love love love it!
You’re never too young to make cards… and you’re never too old. You don’t have to have all the latest and greatest tools. And you don’t have to have mad card-making skills. Use what you have, and put a little love into it – that’s all it takes to bring a smile to someone’s face. 🙂
Here’s a peek at the inside of the card, with her self-portrait. Isn’t she beautiful?
I can’t even describe how much I love this card, and how thrilled I am that this little artist made it just for me! I just had to share my joy! I hope you’ll do the same – share some joy today, and let the ones you care about know how much they mean to you.
Thanks for stopping by! (And thank you Grace! Hugs!) 🙂
