I love cards. (Well, I guess that was already pretty obvious, LOL.) I really love holiday cards – Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa… doesn’t matter. I’m not picky – to me, any happy message is a good thing. So I send out lots of holiday cards… LOTS of them… pretty much to everyone I know. And I send them out pretty early so people can enjoy them longer. This year, I broke a record – every card I sent was handmade, and I sent more than ever. If you haven’t seen a holiday card from me yet, then it probably means that I don’t have your address. 🙂
I made a few different designs this year, but this one was probably my favorite. I wanted to make something a bit “different”, for all our friends and family still stuck in the colder parts of the country. I love snowmen. Most of my holiday cards have featured snowmen. But we don’t have any snowmen here in Florida. We DO have flamingos. (Actually, we have more cranes and herons, but flamingos are more fun.)
While this design was a bit time-consuming, it’s pretty simple. The flamingos, boxes, and bows are all die-cuts. The holly is rubber-stamped. The sentiments were stamped in black ink and coated with clear embossing powder to get a more dramatic look.
Warm Winter Wishes and Happy Everything to everyone! (And if you missed this year’s card, please send me your address so I can catch you next year!) Thanks for stopping by!
