happy thanksgiving!

Fall Leaves card using Stampin' Up! products, by Kitty Smith, bashfulcat.com.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today, I’m just sharing a quick fall leaves card, and popping in to say how grateful I am – today and every day – for everyone who has visited my blog!  I am so lucky to get to spend time doing something I love.  Sharing my passion with others has made my life so much richer!  Life really is a beautiful thing.  🙂

Card details:

I’m not going to give a huge step-by-step today, but I’ll give you the basics (with product links below).  Using some nice autumn colors, I sponged ink onto my Marbled background stamp.  I gave it just a couple of squirts of water before pressing a piece of watercolor paper to it.  I love this technique because each time you try it, you get a different result.  After letting it completely dry, I heat-embossed the sentiment in gold, added three die-cut leaves in coordinating colors, and one detailed leaf from golf foil paper.  Easy-peasy.  🙂

Talking Turkey

For the holiday, I just thought I’d share a picture of one my neighbors.  The highlight of my Thanksgiving was watching five of his friends stroll through our yard this morning.

Feed them… don’t eat them. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by, and have a beautiful Thanksgiving!

  1. Great card, Kitty, and great neighbor turkey! LOL Thanks for the reminder that that’s how turkeys really look when left to their own devices. Happy Thanksgiving to you and ours.
