Aren’t these little fellas cute? I couldn’t help smiling when I made this card – I mean, who can resist a panda party? And the best part? This stamp set, Party Pandas, was FREE, with a $50.00 purchase. This is that most wonderful time of the year for Stampin’ Up! fans. It’s Sale-a-Bration time! (More details about this awesome event below.)
For this card, I just took a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of white cardstock, and figured out where I wanted my pandas to go. I stamped them in black, then stamped the Happy Birthday in Melon Mambo. The confetti bits were stamped here and there, around my playful pandas, in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. That decorative strip on the left was cut from Melon Mambo paper, using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. It sort of covered up that one little guy’s balloon, but that just gave me the perfect excuse to use my Balloon Bouquet Punch to give him a bigger, better balloon. The balloon and birthday present were both attached with dimensionals, for a little “oomph”. I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to add color to the party hat and envelope. A Daffodil Delight card-base finishes it off.
Now, about this awesome event called Sale-a-Bration… the way it works is that you spend at least $50.00 on just about anything from Stampin’ Up!, and you get to add something from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for free. You can buy items you’ve been drooling over in the Annual Catalog, or you can choose something from the new Occasions Catalog. (I want it all, LOL.) The more you spend, the more you get. There’s even a word die set you can get FREE with a $100.00 purchase. (See product links below. Please note that all clear-mount sets are also available as wood-mount and/or in French.)
So, if there are things you’ve been wanting from Stampin’ Up!, now is the best time to stock up. (And if you’ve ever thought about being a demonstrator, there is no better time to sign up than right now. I myself signed up during Sale-a-Bration last year, and I’m so glad I did!)
