Sale! But first…
How about we start today with a nice, warm, fuzzy, quilted Christmas card? It’s high time I started posting (and mailing!) some holiday cards. I can’t believe it’s December already!

I can’t take credit for this technique, though I did put my own spin on it. This card uses the “Stack and Cut Quilt Card” technique, by Betty Taciack. She did a wonderful tutorial for it on Split Coast Stampers. While it isn’t essential for this technique, Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Quilt Stamp Set, and the coordinating Quilt Builder Framelits Dies, are just perfect for it! I also used the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper. Here’s an alternate version, same technique:
Now, I wanted to make sure I showed you these cards today because I just found out that they are RETIRING this set! We just got the news this morning. I just don’t get it – I thought it was one of the best things in our recent holiday catalog! (Okay, so maybe I’ve said that about nearly everything in our recent holiday catalog, but still…) Anyway, if you had been thinking about buying any part of this suite, you’ll want to do that now, because once they are gone, they are gone. (Of course, they will be replaced by all sorts of cool new things, but most likely not quite like this.)
Not just for Christmas!
This set also makes wonderful “non-holiday” cards as well. Here’s more of a “hang in there, thinking of you” type card:
And here’s another – same design, different colors:
Don’t you just love that itty-bitty needle? I used a die from the set, and cut it out of silver foil paper – so cute! The paper was just some old stuff I was trying to use up. (The sentiment really says it all here – this set is perfect for using up old scraps! LOL.)
So, today through January 2, 2018, Stampin’ Up! is having their Year-End Sales Event. Many of these items are just “while supplies last”. Need any last-minute Christmas gifts? (I shouldn’t say “last minute”… I haven’t even started my holiday shopping yet. Yikes!) And while this is such a joyful time of year, it’s hard to beat what’s coming up: Sale-a-Bration! (More on that later.)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have any comments or questions? Just send me a note, or leave a comment. I LOVE talking about crafty stuff with other crafty people.
